So what is happening on the 26th of August?
Firstly I will be running 70kms in memory of my brother Mick. I will start my run at 4am from Killalea and I am hoping to return to Killalea between 1 and 2 pm.
On the day while I am out running we have a fun run/walk planned and lots of family activities.
The family fun will kick off from 10am at Killalea near the café. We will have jump castles from Wollongong jumping castles, face painting and balloon twister by special characters thanks to Fairy Fantasy Parties, We will have The girls from Gossip hair and beauty doing all different types of hair braiding, Lolly guessing Competition, Sausage sizzle BBQ, Cake and Market stalls and other fun activities.
There will be a cost for activities, but nothing over $5 and all profits will be going directly to the cause which is amazing and I am so thankful for everyone that is donating their time and skills to make the day bigger and better.
The fun run will kick off at 10am, its basically a lap or 2 of Shellharbour parkrun, but we are running it in the opposite direction, you will have the option to complete 5km run or walk or 10km run.
It’s a beautiful trail course with all types of terrain, there is no footpath so not really pram friendly but if you have a carrier and want to walk it as a family its great. 100% of the registration goes to beyondblue.
To register for the fun run/walk visit
where you can also donate or sponsor my run if you wish.
Registrations will be available on the day, please arrive early to avoid delays.
Afterwards grab a sausage sizzle or some food from the café, relax and enjoy the family activities and spectacular view, I could sit there all day while the kids play on the massive grassed area. We will be drawing our raffle at the end of the day at 3pm so hang about, as there are many great prizes on offer.
I cannot wait to see you all at the end of my run.
